HO Medium Freight Track Tie Plates Code 70/83

Tie plates no longer need to be painstakingly set individually! You can now place 16 inch sections all at once with our revolutionary new product within minutes, not hours. The tie plates have built in electrical pickups to eliminate unsightly wiring.

The second of four designs available is the Medium Freight Straight Track Tie plates.

• Medium Freight: For main running tracks on branches with medium freight and passenger traffic.
• All straight track designs are based off of prototype drawings.
  • Medium freight tie spacing is 22 1/4" apart

Our brass tie plate etches have been designed with the novice modeler in mind. Features include feeder wire tabs on the left end to allow for a feed wire to be easily attached to the tie plates under the roadbed, hiding unsightly wires above and beside the rail. This can be easily cut off if not desired.

The design follows jointed rail every 39 feet. There is a triangle ▼ every 39 feet. This serves two functions. 1. Locates the center of the joint in the rail every 39 feet and 2. points towards the center of the rail. This is important since the tie plate sticks out farther on the outside of the rail.

One package comes with 2 sets of etches to make 32 inches of track as well as enough cross ties to complete each etch.
